Proudly introducing… #OnMyMind
YouthPolitics’ campaign calling upon the Government to give more funding to youth mental health services.
Only 1/3 of young adults recieve the mental health support that they need, even after requesting help from services…
Just 6% of UK health research spending goes on mental health…
It’s time for that to change. Get involved and join the thousands of young adults campaigning for something which has the support of all political parties…
Since our founding in the summer of 2016, the main pinciple that has definied the work of YouthPolitics has been to encourage youth participation within the politics system whilst maintaining a non-partisan stance. Hence, whether you’re a Corbynista or a Thatcherite, you are more than welcome to the YouthPolitics community. The YouthPolitics Campaign team has been working hard for the past year, developing links with campaigns across the country.
Led by Amy Dunning, the campaign team are able to link young adults with any campaign which shares their passions and beliefs. We whole-heartedly believe that if you are able to channel your passions and beliefs into proactive campaigning, you really can make a difference. Thus, whether you’re intested in promoting animal rights, green energy, women’s rights (in addition to anything else!), or if you’re interested in joining a political party – get in touch! The team will be able to link you up with direct contacts for campaigns from across the country.
In addition to this, YouthPolitics has launched its very first campaign. As a non-partisan organisation, we refrain from explicitly advocating for partisan issues. However, more funding to youth mental health services is an issue which all sides of the political spectrum have agreed needs adressing. After gaining approval at our conference and getting a green light from the executive commitee, we’re finally ready. The question is… are you?
YouthPolitics calls upon the UK Government to announce increased funding to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in the 2018 Autumn Budget.
There are countless ways to get involved. No matter how old you are, or where you live, if you want to join the fight to properly fund our youth mental health services, email firstname.lastname@example.org
